Simple Home Made Cookie

Here’s a simple recipe for delicious homemade cookies:

Ingredients

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups (340g) chocolate chips (or any mix-ins like nuts or raisins)

---

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven: Set the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.

3. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

4. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips or desired mix-ins.

6. Form the Cookies: Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

7. Bake: Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly undercooked, but they'll set as they cool.

8. Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Enjoy warm or store in an airtight container for up to a week!
